JAMMA stands for Japan Amusement Machinery Manufacturers Association and is basically an organization that introduced a set of specification standards for arcade boards. Traditionally, every manufacturer had a different way of hooking together all the wiring inside an arcade machine...and no two were the same. With JAMMA, each arcade board from different companies will all have the same connection interface to connect the monitor and controls in an arcade machine...making changing games and installing new cabinets much easier.
